Coach Ross has over 22 years of successful experience in Texas High School football, having served as Athletic Director, Head Football Coach, Offensive and Defensive Coordinator. Coach Ross also served at the collegiate level from 2016-2017 as the Director of Football Program Development at Boise State.
With a long history of success, Coach Ross has served in Red Oak ISD, Boise State University, Prosper ISD, Leander ISD, and Wichita Falls ISD.
The Lovejoy Leopards football team made it to the state championship game in Coach Ross’ first year. Prior to that, Ross had two extremely successful seasons with Red Oak where he lead the team to the State Championship game (falling 34-14 to Aledo for the title) in 2019 with an 11-2 record and a State Championship game appearance in 2018 (falling 42-13 to Midlothian for the title) with a 9-2 record.
Chris Ross has had a long history of success as a head football coach. Under his leadership, his teams have made over ten playoff appearances, a Mountain West Conference Championship, 2 Bowl Game Appearances, won several State Championships and won two 5A UIL Lone Star Cup awards.
